The Bowling Green Falcons are bringing back some incredible, patriot helmets for tonight’s game against Akron. The helmets feature a center stripe with the names of the 111 Bowling Green students who passed away while serving our country.
“We are honored to recognize the 111 BGSU students who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defending our nation. We have so much to be thankful for and it is important to remember those who have fought to defend our freedoms,” BGSU athletic director Bob Moosbrugger said of the helmets when they were first unveiled earlier this year.
Bowling Green also wore the helmets on Sept. 10 against North Dakota.
