Les Miles is a candidate for the Baylor head coaching job

Les Miles is in search of a Power Five head coaching job.

Luckily for him, there will be plenty of openings available and he will immediately be near the top of each candidate list. In fact, Miles is already officially a candidate for the Baylor Bears head coaching gig, according to a report from CBS Sports.

“I’m making myself available to search firms,” Miles said. “I’m communicating the best I can.”

The report says Miles is on Baylor’s short list.

If Miles truly is interested in returning to a Power Five school next season, Baylor would be a great place to go. There is talent on the roster and Miles could pick up right where Art Briles left off before being fired over the summer.

Baylor spent four weeks in the top 15 this season and reached as high as No. 8 in the AP Top 25 poll. Unfortunately, Baylor hsa lost three straight games since hitting that mark.

Cal’s Sonny Dykes and North Carolina’s Larry Fedora have also been linked to the Baylor job.
