The final College Football Playoff rankings of the 2016 season are set to be released on Sunday afternoon, so everyone is attempting to figure out how the college football landscape could play out entering the postseason.
After Penn State complicated things by winning the Big Ten Championship on Saturday, fans are wondering how the rankings will look.
Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight is the latest to share their prediction model for the final four and Ohio State fans will enjoy the projections much more than the Nittany Lions faithful.
According to FiveThirtyEight, Alabama, Clemson and Washington have the top three spots locked up. That leaves Ohio State and Penn State fighting for the final spot, with the Buckeyes having much greater odds despite losing the head-to-head matchup earlier this year.
Regardless of what happens later today, one fan base is going to be incredibly frustrated.
