Following another week of college football action, the Football Writers Association of America and the National Football Foundation unveiled the updated FWAA-NFF Super 16 poll.
This is the final Super 16 poll before the release of the final College Football Playoff rankings, so all eyes were on the top four spots.
Once again holding the top spot was defending national champion Alabama, receiving all 45 first-place votes, while the Clemson Tigers leapfrogged idle Ohio State after claiming the ACC title.
Washington, the Pac-12 champ, sits at No. 4, rounding out the playoff spots, while Penn State is left on the outside looking in.
The Big Ten led all conferences with four teams. The ACC, Pac-12 and Big 12 had three each . The SEC had two teams, and the Mid-American had one team.
