Former Baylor quarterback Jarrett Stidham is hoping to make a decision on his new home within the next couple of weeks.
While speaking to Max Olson of ESPN, Stidham confirmed he has narrowed down his list of potential destinations and hopes to make a final decision by Christmas.
An interesting angle to watch when it comes to Stidham’s transfer is where Baylor offensive coordinator Kendal Briles ultimately lands.
“Honestly, it’s so up in the air right now,” Stidham said. “[Kendall Briles] is my dude. I’m super tight with him. I still talk to him all the time. I’m still waiting to see what happens with him and where he might go and just take it into consideration.
“It’s exciting to think about, but it’s also pretty nerve-wracking just because, as of this very second, I don’t know where I’m going to be in a month. That’s a little hard to take in. It’s going to work out. I’m going to end up somewhere that wants me and somewhere I want to go. But it is pretty hard to sit here and think, a month from this very second, I don’t know where I’m going to be.”
Previous reports have indicated Stidham is leaning towards Auburn, but he has also been approached by other SEC programs like Florida and Texas A&M.
Wherever he lands, the former four-star recruit will be looking to make a strong impact.
Last season in relief of Seth Russell, Stidham recorded 1,265 yards, 12 touchdowns and two interceptions.
