Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin is set to rejoin the head coaching ranks, after reportedly agreeing to a five-year deal with the FAU Owls.
However, there was some initial concern from the Crimson Tide faithful, who were left wondering whether the leader of the team’s offense would be on the sideline when they take the field in the College Football Playoff.
Well, Alabama fans can breathe a sigh of relief.
According to ESPN’s Chris Low, Kiffin will not leave his position on the Alabama staff until after the team has wrapped up its 2016 campaign.
I'm told that Lane Kiffin plans to remain as Alabama's offensive coordinator throughout the College Football Playoff.

This is obviously great news for Alabama, which will be looking to defend its national title this postseason.
Alabama kicks off the 2016 College Football Playoff with a matchup against No. 4 Washington in the Chick-fil-A Bowl, the national semifinal at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta on New Year’s Eve. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. ET on ESPN.
