LSU running back Derrius Guice entered the 2016 college football season behind star Leonard Fournette on the depth chart. After injuries limited Fournette’s playing time, Guice found himself in the starting lineup for five games and made the most of it.
Guice rushed for 1,249 yards and 14 touchdowns in his limited time and now looks to build on that success next year as the team’s workhorse back.
So in order to let Tigers fans know what they can expect from him on the field in 2017, he took to Twitter to make a promise to the faithful fans in Baton Rouge in the form of a lofty goal.
Guice promises to be an All-American.

After the way he was able to burst onto the scene as a sophomore, there is no reason to doubt what Guice could pull off next season carrying the load for Ed Orgeron’s squad.
