Alabama opens as favorite to win 2018 national championship game

|

Alabama came up one second short of winning its second consecutive national championship on Monday night, but if the oddsmakers can accurately predict the future, the Crimson Tide can return to glory next year.

Following Clemson’s last-second win in the national title game, the Westgate SuperBook released its odds for next season and Alabama is an overwhelming favorite.

The Crimson Tide will enter the season as 3-to-1 favorites to hoist the College Football Playoff national championship trophy, while Florida State sits at second with 7-to-1 odds. Oklahoma, Ohio State and USC all sit closeley behind the Seminoles with 8-to-1 odds.

This sets up for a great start to next season.

Alabama will open the season against Florida State in Atlanta, home of the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship Game, while Oklahoma takes on Ohio State.

It’s going to be a long eight months anticipating the return of next season.
