Brent Musburger has announced that he will retire from sports broadcasting at 77 years old at the end of January. His final game will be on Jan. 31, a basketball game between the Kentucky Wildcats and the Georgia Bulldogs.
A legend in his field, Musburger has been behind an innumerable amount of memorable moments in sports.
His most memorable one, though, was probably about Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron’s now wife, Katherine.
After the comments, Musburger caught a lot of heat from a number of outlets for his comments, with some calling them sexist, objectifying and insensitive. Katherine Webb (now Webb McCarron) responded shortly after the occurrence became sensationalized and supported Musburger , claiming no offense for being called beautiful on television.
With the announcement of his retirement, Katherine tweeted in support of him once again.
Cheers Brent, you were good to me. https://t.co/GFYECtbdW2

The National Championship by Alabama and Notre Dame was a snoozer that everyone was talking about what Musberger said the next day. Now, the unlikely duo will be linked together forever.
