After Lane Kiffin left to take the head coaching job at FAU and Steve Sarkisian bolted to accept a gig with the Atlanta Falcons, the Alabama football program was left without an offensive coordinator.
That vacancy could be filled very soon.
According to a report from TiderInsider.com, the Crimson Tide will be hiring New England Patriots tight ends coach Brian Daboll as its next leader of the offense.
Daboll previously served as offensive coordinator for the Cleveland Browns, Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs.

Interestingly enough, Daboll also has previous coaching experience under Nick Saban.
When Daboll first got his start, he served as a graduate assistant at Michigan State when the Spartans were led by Saban.
There is no word on when an official announcement could come.
