Ronda Rousey’s last fight against Amanda Nunes was widely accepted as being her last, win or lose. Most were unsure what to expect from the former champion who rose to prominence with her lighting fast victories, but fell notably to Holly Holm for her first loss in 2015.
Rousey’s return came and went with a whimper, a sad showing from a fighter that appeared to be a shell of what she once was. Her contributions to the sport respected and revered, but her presence no longer feared, most expected her to pursue a career in entertainment.
Then, she posted this cryptic message on her Instagram.

For those desperate to see Rousey back in the Octagon, it’s all the encouragement they need to get the rumor machine kicking at top gear.
After Rousey was ousted quickly and with ease by the current champion Amanda Nunes, it wouldn’t be a surprise if she wanted another crack at going out on top. So is a return in the works? Maybe, maybe not.
There is no way of telling until Rousey officially announces something herself.
For now, it’s less stressful to assume that Rousey is simply getting into boating now that she is retired.
