The 2017 NFL Combine is officially underway in Indianapolis and on Thursday the quarterbacks took center stage.
While on-field workouts will not begin until Friday, the quarterbacks had their measurements taken and it was positive results all around for the top signal-callers in the 2017 draft class.
Every one of the top quarterback prospect’s in this year’s draft hit the threshold for height and hand size that team’s look for — 6-foot-2, with nine-inch hands.
The most impressive numbers came from Notre Dame’s Deshone Kizer, who came in at 6-foot-4 1/4, with 9 7/8-inch hands. There will be no size concerns when it comes to evaluating the former Fighting Irish star.
Clemson’s Deshaun Watson measured 6-foot-2, with 9 3/4-inch hands. Mitch Trubisky of North Carolina and Texas Tech’s Patrick Mahomes also came in right at the 6-foot-2 mark.
With size not being an issue for any of the top signal-callers, we will now need to wait and see if anyone can separate themselves from the competition during on-field drills.
