Patrick Ewing will not be adding his son to his staff with the Georgetown basketball program.
In an ironic twist, the Hoyas apparently have a nepotism clause that prohibits the addition of Ewing’s son. The news comes from Dan Steinberg of the Washington Post.
It’s a bit bizarre because Ewing is replacing John Thompson III, who was the replacement for his father, John Thompson Jr. Thompson Jr. coached Ewing and had a big part in the hiring of Thompson III as the Hoyas head coach over a decade ago.
Now, suddenly, Georgetown is no longer a family business.
How about them apples?
