Former UMass basketball star Marcus Camby has finally graduated from college and was reunited with his former head coach, current Kentucky Wildcats coach John Calipari.
This weekend, 24 years after he was dominating the hardwood for UMass, Camby returned to campus for graduation after earning his degree.
During graduation, Camby was reunited with Calipari, who helped lead the Minutemen to a Final Four in 1996.
“It meant a lot to him,” Camby said, via Matt Vautour of the Daily Hampshire Gazette. “He’s excited. He said he wouldn’t miss it for the world. We share a lifelong bond and I wanted him to be part of it.”

After his successful career at UMass, the 6-foot-11 center went on to become the No. 2 overall pick of the 1996 NBA Draft before going on to a length career which included an NBA Defensive Player of the Year award in 2007.
Congratulations to Camby on the big accomplishment.
