The Old Dominion football program surprised walk-on Marvin Branch over the weekend.
As we see time and again throughout the offseason, programs across the country reward their hard-working walk-on athletes with scholarships before the upcoming season.
That was the case for Branch on Mother’s Day weekend, and he got to unveil the news in a special way.
Branch was handed a FaceTime call with his mother when he was asked to read a special card. When Branch flipped over the card, he learned he was receiving his scholarship and the crowd went wild.
