UGA Football: Kirby Smart 'Actively Recruiting' Brice Ramsey To Stay

Earlier this year, UGA football coach Kirby Smart announced Brice Ramsey would be seeking a transfer.
However, here we are about to hit the summer months and Ramsey has yet to find a new home. While he continues to consider his options, Smart now says he is “actively recruiting” Ramsey to remain in Athens.
“I’ve actively been recruiting Brice, trying to recruit Brice,” Smart said, via the Athens Banner-Herald. “As it stands right now, he’s still looking around but we should have some more clarity on that in the next couple of weeks.”
Ramsey has spent time as a quarterback and punter during his time with the Bulldogs.
While he provides options under center and on special teams, Smart is likely actively attempting to keep Ramsey at Georgia because of the lack of depth at quarterback.
Currently, the Bulldogs have only sophomore Jacob Eason and freshman Jake Fromm on the depth chart.
