The Pac-12 Football Media Days took place this week, so members of the media gathered together to give their predictions and analyze what is to come during the 2017 season.
If their preseason predictions are to be believed, the USC Trojans will once again be a team to watch.
In the annual preseason poll released on Wednesday, the Media overwhelming picked USC to win the conference with a whopping 49 first-place votes. Utah, UCLA and Colorado each earned just one first-place vote a piece.
The full results can be seen below, via the official release:
SCHOOL | POINTS | 1ST-PLACE VOTES |
---|---|---|
USC | 309 | 49 |
Utah | 220 | 1 |
UCLA | 209 | 1 |
Colorado | 182 | 1 |
Arizona State | 109 | 0 |
Arizona | 61 | 0 |
With highly-touted quarterback Sam Darnold returning, there’s no surprise that the Trojans have high expectations entering the new season.
Of course, it’s up to the players to deliver on the field.
USC kicks off its 2017 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 2 against Western Michigan at the L.A. Coliseum.
