Alabama Football: Da'Shawn Hand Arrested For DUI

Alabama football player Da’Shawn Hand was arrested early Saturday morning in Tuscaloosa, according to reports.
The defensive lineman was arrested by the Tuscaloosa Police Department for driving under the influence. Bond was set for $1,000. Aaron Suttles of Tide Sports was first to report the news.
Hand’s booking information can be seen online thanks to the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.

Hand is a key member of the Crimson Tide’s defensive line rotation entering his senior year, so it will be interesting to see how head coach Nick Saban ultimately chooses to deal with the situation.
With a major clash against Florida State set to open the season, it’s very possible that Saban chooses to handle any punishment “internally” to keep Hand on the field.
Alabama and Florida State face off on Saturday, Sept. 2 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
