Maea Teuhema is transferring from the LSU football program.
After it was announced that the offensive lineman was suspended indefinitely suspended for a violation of team rules, news of his transfer surfaced in a statement reported by Ross Dellenger of The Advocate.
Dellenger posted the following on Twitter.
Official from #LSU: OL Maea Teuhema has been granted his release from the LSU football team and will transfer to another school.

The loss of Teuhema is a big one for LSU.
With Teuhema no longer on the roster, the Tigers will be down to redshirt freshman Lloyd Cushenberry and sophomore Donavaugh Campbell battling it out for the starting job he previously filled.
It also leaves LSU with only 11 scholarship offensive linemen.
LSU opens its 2017 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 2 against BYU.
