VIDEO: Murray State Football Player Gets Married On Field After Practice

Murray State football player Bishop Woods had an interesting afternoon on Tuesday.
After wrapping up practice with his Racers teammates, the senior offensive lineman went on to get married to his fiancee, Caitlyn Meyers. But it was a very unique ceremony.
Woods and Meyers were married on the field at Roy Stewart Stadium following practice.
The man facilitating the ceremony was Murray State offensive line coach Brian Hamilton, who is an ordained minister.
Hamilton was more than happy to be a part of the ceremony.
“Life of being a college football coach,” Hamilton said, via Kyle Bonagura of ESPN. “You get to be a part of kids’ lives. It was fantastic for me to share that with them.”

The impromptu ceremony was in front of members of the football team and coaching staff, but because it was a last-minute decision the families were not present. That’s okay, though, because Woods says his mother was overjoyed and moved to tears when he let her know the news.
Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Woods.
