The Ohio State football program is now the most valuable in the country.
According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, the Buckeyes have overtaken the Texas Longhorns to earn the No. 1 spot. Ohio State’s program is now valued at a whopping $1.5 billion, while the Longhorns are a distant second at $1.24 billion.
The Oklahoma Sooners are the only other program to see its value surpass the $1 billion mark.
While Ohio State is the most valuable program, the Big Ten as a whole ranks No. 2 with an average of $416 million per program. On average, the SEC boasts the highest number with an average $523 million per program.
