On Saturday afternoon, the NC State football team picked up a big win by knocking off the Florida State Seminoles in Tallahassee.
Following the game, emotions were running high and Wolfpack defensive standout Bradley Chubb was seen sprinting towards the middle of the field. After making his way to the Seminoles’ midfield logo, cameras caught Chubb appearing to spit on the FSU logo.
Of course, video immediately surfaced on social media following the incident.

Florida State fans were obviously unhappy with the disrespect and Chubb quickly released a statement through the team’s official Twitter account following the game.
“I want to apologize for my actions after the game today,” Chubb, who is on a social media hiatus through the season, said. “I let my emotions get the best of me. I have the utmost respect for Coach [Jimbo] Fisher and Florida State.”
We’ll see how that apology holds over when the Seminoles make the trip to Raleigh next season. Because as Baker Mayfield and Oklahoma showed Ohio State earlier this year, the post-game taunting is never forgotten.
