Whenever Tennessee football legend Peyton Manning wants to feel like royalty, all he has to do is show up in Knoxville.
In truth, he’d be a revered and honored guess wherever he appeared, but nowhere is it more true than in Tennessee. The former Volunteer went on to enjoy one of the greatest careers by an NFL quarterback ever, but he hasn’t forgotten where he came from.
In between an endless itinerary of commercial shoots, Manning made a welcomed appeared at his alma mater this weekend as they get ready to take on the Georgia Bulldogs.
He was a notable guest during the traditional Tennessee Vol Walk on Saturday.

The Volunteers will have their work cut out for them against Georgia this afternoon, though. The Bulldogs have played well every week, and aside from a one-point victory against Notre Dame in week two, they’ve blown every team they’ve faced out of the water.
Tennessee had their hands full against a UMass team that made things far too interesting for comfort. They’ll have to play better to knock of Georgia.
Something tells me, if they were forced to do so, and if eligibility wasn’t an issue, Peyton could strap it on and deliver the “W.”
