If you’d ever looked at a team mascot and thought “I could do that,” you can’t. The BYU Cougar mascot is here to show you why.
While most mascots are content to do silly dances and wave their arms in the air, the BYU Cougar takes things to an unprecedented level. He joined the BYU Cougarettes for a dance number and was surprising capable dancer.
You think it’s a gimmick until he starts hanging with the dancers step-for-step.

Cosmo the Cougar has some serious dance skills. It would be tough to pick against him in a hypothetical nationwide mascot dance contest.
Unfortunately for Cougar fans, as entertaining as the dance show was, the actual football team laid an egg on the field. They managed to score only seven points at home against Boise State, losing the game 24-7.
The Cougars dropped to 1-5 on the year, prompting many to wonder if fans are going to watch the game or the dance show at this point.
