This week will see some of the most inventive uniforms of the 2017 college football season.
Not only are there different combinations from we’ve seen all year, but the mix of brand new looks, throwbacks and commemorative apparel is an example of how serious college football programs take the way their players look on the field.
ESPN went around and took a look at all the dapper duds around the FBS landscape this week.
In terms of which is most meaningful, it’s hard to be UAB. The Blazers will have the names of ill children on the backs of their jersey’s instead of their own.
Temple has picked up their uni game more than any other team in the nation. Only one week form having knocked off the LSU Tigers, the Troy Trojans break out their fifth new combination this season. And how about Oklahoma’s all red woodgrain pattern uniform? One of the more unique looks anywhere in the FBS this week.
Ultimately college football is still about winning games. But if you can look good while doing it, recruits will flock.
