Red River Showdown 2017: Pigs Race Predicts Oklahoma-Texas Winner

The Oklahoma Sooners looked like they were ready to punch their ticket to the College Football Playoff until the lost a shocker to Iowa State last week. Texas has shown some life under first year head coach Tom Herman, but they remain a work in progress.
But in the Red River Showdown, records can be thrown out the window.
Both teams are going to come out with a lot of passion and intensity, trying to punch the other in the mouth.
How will Oklahoma respond to their first loss? Can Texas finally beat a legitimate opponent?
Let the pigs at ESPN sort that out.

It’s Texas by a snout. It was a photo finish, but I seriously doubt they have a camera set up along the finish line to determine the winner of pig races.
This game might have lost some luster in recent years. It’s been a while since both teams were near the top of the college football landscape, but that could be due to change in the future. Both are set to pull in impressive recruiting classes, and the rivalry could see a rebirth once those players make it onto the field.
In the meantime, this pig race figures to be a lot closer than the actual game. Oklahoma should take care of business against the Longhorns, proving definitively that pig racing is not a scientific practice.
