'Butch Jones, Your Mom Still Loves You' Sign Flies In Tuscaloosa

When the seat gets hot, fans usually only serve to make it hotter. The first person to want a coach out of town is the person sitting in the stands, and for the most part, that holds true with Butch Jones.
While the University of Miami Hurricanes flew a banner over the stadium calling for then-head coach Al Golden’s job, Tennessee fans are taking the opposite approach.
They’re flying a banner letting coach Jones know that he still has someone in his corner: his mom.

Technically, it says “Butch ur mom still loves Yuo!” No word yet on who Yuo is; there is a chance it’s the name of a lover that his mother took at some point.
Butch Jones can’t catch a break these days, and he’s staring at almost certain defeat against the Alabama Crimson Tide this week. The Volunteers haven’t managed to score a touchdown in their last 10 quarters, and the pressure Jones is facing is near a boiling point.
It’s worth noting that he led the Volunteers to consecutive nine-win seasons, and that the team is in transition. But when you coach in the SEC, and at a program with the history that Tennessee has no less, they expect you to win every year.
Butch Jones is off to a 3-3 start in 2017, and it will likely cost him his job.
At least his mother and “Yuo” will be there to soften the blow.
