Week 9 of the college football season is in the books which means the Football Writers Association of America and National Football Foundation have revealed the latest FWAA-NFF Super 16 poll.
Alabama remains the No. 1 team in the nation, but the Georgia Bulldogs are gaining some ground. It is the first time in three weeks that a team other than the Crimson Tide received a first-place vote.
Ohio State, Wisconsin and Clemson round out the top five.
Penn State, which lost to the Buckeyes, dropped to No. 7. TCU, another top five team to suffer an upset loss on Saturday, dropped to No. 11.
The Big 12 led all conferences with four teams in the poll, followed by the ACC, Big Ten and SEC with three each. The Pac-12 and American had one each and Independents one.
