If you ever thought you’d hear music from the Disney film “Moana” during a press conference with Michigan State football coach Mark Dantonio, you were sadly mistaken.
You also probably underestimated just how hilarious such a moment could be.
During Dantonio’s Monday afternoon press conference, the head coach was explaining what cost the Spartans a win in Saturday’s game against Northwestern, when a phone went off with a ringtone playing The Rock’s song from “Moana.”
Dantonio calmly picked up the ringing phone and turned it off.
Was it his? That’s be great for the story, but apparently the phone belonged to a reporter.
The lyrics from the song, written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, fit perfectly with the situation of interrupting a reporter.
“Kid, honestly, I can go on and on. I can explain every natural phenomenon,” the lyrics read.
