The latest Heisman Trophy odds have been released and one player is running away from the competition.
The Oklahoma Sooners are back in the College Football Playoff picture, and they have their Heisman hopeful to thank for it. Baker Mayfield has led the most explosive offense in the country to an impressive 9-1 record this season.
Not only is it paying dividends for the entire Oklahoma Sooners team, but Mayfield is now the overwhelming favorite in the latest odds to with the Heisman Trophy.
It was only a few weeks ago that it appeared Saquon Barkley of the Penn State Nittany Lions was running away with the award. But as Nittany Lions have stumbled, the Sooners have exploded offensively.
Barkley is now an afterthought, and even Bryce Love, who at 8/1 odds has the second best chance of bringing home the hardware is well behind Mayfield.
Baker Mayfield now massive 1/20 Heisman favorite via @LVSuperBook, meaning you have to wager $20 to win $1 on Mayfield. Next: Bryce Love 8/1, Saquon Barkley 20/1, Khalil Tate & Jonathan Taylor 25/1

Much like the way Lamar Jackson ran away with the award last season, Mayfield is distancing in the closing weeks of the season. Jackson stumbled in the final weeks, though, as the Cardinals endured several heartbreaking loses and nearly cost him the award.
If Mayfield can manage to win out, he’ll become a member of the most exclusive club in college football.
