Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon is eligible to return to the field this weekend against the Los Angeles Chargers for the first time in a regular season game since 2014.
While looking back at the circumstances that led to all of Gordon’s off the field issues, the wideout claimed he was making $10,000 a month selling marijuana while a member of the Baylor football program.
According to Sports Illustrated’s Ben Baskin, Gordon was “receiving as much as six pounds of weed—vacuum-sealed and wrapped in Mylar, sprayed with kerosene and covered in coffee beans to mask the smell, shipped through U.S. mail—every week from a dealer back home.”
Gordon would sell the marijuana in Dallas, Austin and San Antonio.
The troubled receiver previously stated he received help passing drug tests by a former Baylor coach and that he would drink alcohol and smoke marijuana before every game of his career.
After spending time in a treatment facility and working hard towards his return, Gordon, who is still just 26 years old, is finally ready to work towards filling his full potential.
