UFC 220 Main Event Set With Daniel Cormier vs. Volkan Oezdemir

The UFC 220 main event is set and Daniel Cormier will be defending his light heavyweight championship for the first time since being reinstated as the title holder following Jon Jones’ most recent failed drug test.
Cormier will be defending his 205-pound belt against top contender Volkan Oezdemir, despite some legal issues which some believed had put the bout in jeopardy. Oezdemir was arrested earlier this month in Fort Lauderdale after a bar fight.
The Swiss native was charged with aggravated battery causing bodily harm or disability, which carries a maximum sentence of 15 years.
UFC 220 takes place Jan. 20, 2018 at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

The current fight card can be seen below:

  • Champ Daniel Cormier vs. Volkan Oezdemir for the light heavyweight championship
  • Islam Makhachev vs. Gleison Tibau
  • Dustin Ortiz vs. Alexandre Pantoja
  • Thomas Almeida vs. Rob Font
  • Shane Burgos vs. Calvin Kattar
  • Kyle Bochniak vs. Brandon Davis
