UFC heavyweight Fabricio Werdum has received his punishment for the boomerang incident in Australia.
If you recall, Werdum and loudmouth welterweight Colby Covington got into a heated altercation outside of the fighter hotel for UFC Fight Night 121.
As things escalated, Werdum resorted to chucking a boomerang at Covington’s head.
Covington, who instigated the altercation with derogatory remarks about Brazilians, ended up pressing charges against Werdum for the “assault.”
As a result, Werdum was expected to show up in court.
Werdum no-showed his court appearance, but it went on as planned and the heavyweight received a $600 fine, according to MMAjunkie.com.
With the small amount, we’d have to imagine Werdum wouldn’t hesitate to do the same again if Covington approached him with racist and homophobic slurs. Then again, we doubt Werdum is always armed with a boomerang.
