On Monday afternoon the latest AP Top 25 college basketball poll was released with very little movement in the top five.
Villanova remains at No. 1 in the latest poll, receiving 45 first-place votes. The Michigan State Spartans also hung on to their spot at No. 2, bringing in 15 first-place nods.
Arizona State, meanwhile, was the week’s big winner, leapfrogging Duke to land at No. 3 for the first time since 1981. Duke sits at No. 4, while their rivals, the North Carolina Tar Heels, round out the top five.
Wichita State, the team previously ranked at No. 3, plummeted to No. 11 in Week 7.
