The LSU football program won big on the recruiting trail Friday evening.
Terrace Marshall, the No. 1 wide receiver in the nation according to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, announced he will be playing his college football in Baton Rouge.
Shea Dixon of 247 Sports shared the news.
Marshall will look to continue the tradition of LSU producing star wide receivers.
Marshall is a 6-foot-2 standout from Parkway High School in Bossier City, Louisiana. He’s the top-ranked player in the state and the No. 11 overall player regardless of position.
Marshall chose LSU over other finalists Alabama, Texas A&M, Texas and Florida State.
The decision comes just three days after the official start of the new early signing period. It’s a major get for Ed Orgeron and his program.
