LSU football star Derrius Guice made a young fan’s Christmas one to remember.
On Christmas morning, Guice shared the story of a young girl who wrote to the university in hopes of receiving a signed football from her favorite Tigers player for the holiday.
However, rather than just sending a football to Guice, the standout running back surprised the girl at her home to personally deliver the gift and to spend some time together on Christmas Eve.
The letter to Guice read:
It’s me, your favorite 10 year old from Mandeville. I’ve had a hard time thinking what I want for Christmas, and my mind can only think of one thing.
I really LOVE LSU football and my favorite player by far is Derrius Guice. Did you know he broke a record last week? If you can get him to sign a football for me, then it would be the best gift I could ask for. P.S. Tell Guice that he rules football.”
Guice shared photos of the meeting, which you can see below:

It’s great to see players reaching out and making a positive difference in their communities. Kudos to Guice for the kind act, and Merry Christmas to everyone — especially Alexis, who had one of the best holidays ever!
