Did you know TCU football coach Gary Patterson could rock out on the guitar?
This week during a talent show ahead of the 2017 Valero Alamo Bowl, Patterson joined two Horned Frogs players — senior Pakamiaiaea Davis and sophomore James Terry Jr. — for a cover of “Tennessee Whiskey.”
Patterson played guitar, Terry brought the soothing saxophone, and Davis played guitar while belting out the tune.
The most impressive part of the performance — outside of Patterson thoroughly enjoying his time on the strings — was Davis flexing his golden pipes. Who knew a fullback had that kind of voice?

How about that whistling intro by Patterson, too?
It’s going to be tough for the Horned Frogs to top this performance, but they will try to do exactly that on Thursday night when they take on Stanford at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
Kickoff between No. 15 Stanford and No. 13 TCU is set for 9:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.
