The 2017 Cotton Bowl got off to a rough start at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas thanks to Mrs. Ewing.
Mrs. Ewing, who is apparently a really powerful woman in Texas, was granted coin toss duties when she stepped to midfield at Jerry World to kick off the festivities between the No. 5 Ohio State Buckeyes and No. 8 USC Trojans.
That’s when college football fans across the country got to witness the worst coin flip a sporting event has ever seen.
Rather than actually flipping the coin, Mrs. Ewing employed a strategy better suited for frisbee or skee-ball. The coin did not flip at all. Instead, it simply glided through the air.
