New Mexico State Football Wins First Bowl Game In 57 Years

The New Mexico State football program remains undefeated in bowl games.
On Friday night against Utah State in the Arizona Bowl, New Mexico State scored a 26-20 overtime victory thanks to a walk-off touchdown run from Larry Rose III.
The win marked New Mexico State’s first bowl win in 57 years.
Here is the remarkable moment that the Aggies earned the victory which was followed by every New Mexico State fan in attendance rushing onto the field.

How great is that?
Interestingly enough, the last time New Mexico State earned a bowl victory, it was a one-score win over Utah State.
New Mexico State relied heavily on the legs of Larry Rose III, who tallied 132 yards and the game-winning score on the ground. The senior added six catches for 48 yards.
Congratulations to the New Mexico State football program on the great achievement. They finish 2017 with a winning record of 7-6.
