WATCH: John Calipari Tries To Comfort Louisville Fans After Blowout Loss

John Calipari and the Kentucky basketball team delivered a 29-point beatdown to the rival Louisville Cardinals on Friday afternoon.
But rather than boasting after the big win, Calipari attempted to comfort the rival fan base.
While speaking to the media following the 90-61 shellacking of Louisville, Calipari tried to give the Cardinals faithful something positive to look at moving forward.
“That’s as good as we play,” Calipari said. “So the fans in Louisville shouldn’t be — there team has played well. As a matter of fact, should’ve beat Purdue. They had ’em. The Seton Hill kid made like a runner at the buzzer. So what they did today, that’s just about as good as we can play.”

Kentucky returns to action on Sunday, Dec. 31 against the Georgia Bulldogs. Louisville, meanwhile, will look to rebound on Tuesday, Jan. 2 against Pitt.
