The Ultimate Fighting Championship wrapped up 2017 on Saturday night with UFC 219 live from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
In the main event, Cris Cyborg made the first defense of her women’s featherweight championship against former women’s bantamweight title holder Holly Holm in a technical five-round affair. It was the longest fight of Cyborg’s storied career, but she was able to pick apart and outlast her opponent en route to retaining the title.
Cyborg vs. Holm earned Fight of the Night honors.
The night also saw one of the most dominating Octagon performance in recent memory, with Khabib Nurmagomedov steamrolling Edson Barboza in the co-main event. Nurmagomedov earned at least a 10-8 scorecard in every round which earned him a Performance of the Night bonus.
The other bonus went to Tim Elliott, who opened the night with a slick anaconda choke despite entering the cage with a heavy heart after the passing of his coach Robert Follis.
If you missed out on Saturday night’s pay-per-view, we have you covered.
