Marquette Basketball: Markus Howard Ties Big East Record With 52 Points

Markus Howard went off on Wednesday night in the Marquette basketball team’s 96-90 overtime win on the road against Providence. Howard lifted the Golden Eagles with a record-setting performance.
When the final buzzer sounded, Howard finished with a whopping 52 points.
The 52 points set a Big East single-game scoring record and broke the record for the school. Howard went 17-for-29 from the floor and 11-for-19 from behind the arc.

The win takes Marquette to 11-4 on the season. Up next for the Golden Eagles is a brutal two-game stretch which features a road game against No. 3 Villanova on Saturday, Jan. 6 and a home game against No. 21 Seton Hall on Tuesday, Jan. 9.
