Penn State football star Saquon Barkley has officially signed with an agent.
After declaring for the 2018 NFL Draft, the Nittany Lions running back announced he has signed with Kim Miale of Roc Nation Sports, which was founded by hip hop mogul Jay Z.
Barkley made the announcement on social media along with a photo next to the rapper.
“It was a really easy decision,” Barkley said, via ESPN’s Darren Rovell. “A lot of people came around my way, but they were focused on me and they did a great job at selling my family on setting me up for life, bringing value outside of football. I felt like it was harder for other agencies to pitch that family feel when they were working with 30 or 40 guys.”
Barkley joins a star-studded list of clients at Roc Nation Sports including Todd Gurley, Leonard Fournette, Dez Bryant and JuJu Smith-Schuster.
Currently rated as the top running back prospect in the 2018 draft class, Barkley is a projected top ten pick.
The 2018 NFL Draft takes place April 26-28 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
