Alabama football star Calvin Ridley will be ending his college career on a high note.
After the Crimson Tide defeated the Georgia Bulldogs on Monday night to win the College Football Playoff National Championship Game, the star wide receiver announced he will be declaring for the 2018 NFL Draft.
Ridley, who many believe is the top wide receiver prospect in this year’s draft class, announced his decision with a statement on social media.
“In announcing my entrance into the upcoming 2018 NFL Draft, I know that thoes who come after me will take this program to even greater heights,” Ridley wrote. “The future of this program is indeed in great hands.
“I am so grateful and so blessed to have been part of a mighty rolling tide, that will keep on rolling and rolling forever. Roll Tide!”

This season, Ridley finished the year with 63 receptions for 967 yards and five touchdowns. He finishes his career with the rolling tide with 224 catches, 2,781 yards and 19 touchdowns.
