The K-State basketball program will be rolling out some incredible throwbacks for this weekend’s game against TCU.
Earlier in the season, Kansas State announced they would be wearing lavender throwbacks for the Jan. 20 meeting with the Horned Frogs. This week, we were reminded of just how great the two-toned uniforms look.
The uniforms — which feature dark purple shorts, lavender tops and lavender shoes — pay homage to the uniforms the Wildcats wore during the 1970s.
Once the 1980s came around, the Wildcats turned more towards darker colors at home and white or gray on the road.
But now, for the first time under head coach Bruce Weber, the lavender look returns.

Tip-off between Kansas State and the No. 24 Horned Frogs is set for 4:00 p.m. ET on ESPNU this Saturday.
