UFC 221 Fight Card, Date, Start Time & TV Info

|

The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to pay-per-view on Saturday night with UFC 221.

UFC 221 marks the promotion’s first visit to Perth, in the Western Australia. The event is set to be headlined by an interim championship bout between Olympic silver medalist Yoel Romero and former title holder Luke Rockhold.

Initially, a middleweight unification bout between former champion Georges St-Pierre and interim champ Robert Whittaker was set for the pay-per-view. Unfortunately, St-Pierre vacated his title to focus on health issues, while Whittaker was promoted to undisputed champ. Whittaker was then forced to pull out of the event in his home country with health issues of his own.

Due to the time difference, UFC 221 will actually take place on Sunday local time, but will be airing live in the United States at its normal time.

Also on the main card are two heavyweight scraps — Mark Hunt vs. Curtis Blaydes and Tai Tuivasa vs. Cyril Asker — and a welterrweight bout between Jake Matthews and Li Jingliang. The main card kicks off in the light heavyweight division with Tyson Pedro vs. Saparbek Safarov.

Here is all of the information you will need to catch Saturday’s pay-per-view from start to finish:
