Winter Olympics Speed Skating Schedule 2018: Dates & Times

The 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea kick into full swing bright and early Saturday morning, following Friday’s Opening Ceremony.

A number of disciplines will kickoff their events and tournaments, including speed skating which starts with the Women’s 3000m.

The 14 speed skating events will be held from Feb. 10 through Feb. 24. All events will be held at the Gangneung Oval in Gangneung, with love coverage on the NBC family of networks.

A total of 180 athletes from 28 nations will be competing in the various events, with Colombia making its Olympic debut in the sport.

Estonia will also make history, with Saskia Alusalu, who served as the nation’s flag bearer in the Opening Ceremony, becoming the first-ever Estonian female speed skater to compete in the Winter Games.

The nations competing are Australia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium. Canada, China, Chinese Taipei, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Olympic Athletes from Russia, Poland, Romania, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland and United States.
