Every Olympics there is a breakout star, but who would have guessed the North Korea cheerleaders would be the early front-runners at the 2018 Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea.
On Saturday morning, the unified women’s hockey team which features players from North and South Korea took the ice for their first game of the tournament.
Sure, they may have lost the game to Switzerland, 8-0, but that didn’t stop the cheerleaders from having a great time.
During the game between Korea and Switzerland at Kwandong Hockey Centre in Gangneung, the North Korea cheerleaders were scattered in rows throughout the arena when they broke out into an incredible song and chat.
It was captivating, and everyone seemed to love it.

Let’s hope they keep up the spirit for the duration of the Olympics.
The University of Kentucky cheerleaders will be representing the United States in Pyeongchang and they have an awful lot to live up to.
