The ongoing FBI probe looking into corruption in college basketball could implicate as many as 20 schools, according to a bombshell report from Yahoo! Sports’ Pat Forde and Pete Thamel on Friday morning.
The report reviewed documents which included expense reports and balance sheets from sports agency ASM Sports, which included former NBA agent Andy Miller and former AAU coach Christian Dawkins. The expense reports and balance sheets show potential NCAA violations for the programs involved.
Duke, Kentucky, Michigan State and North Carolina are among the programs mentioned in the report.
Players specifically mentioned as receiving improper benefits are 2017 No. 1 overall pick Markelle Fultz and fellow first-rounder Dennis Smith. Current players linked to the benefits are Collin Sexton of Alabama, Duke’s Wendell Carter, and Michigan State star Miles Bridges.
This could just be the tip of the iceberg and plenty of programs and coaches across the country should be getting nervous.
