Ryan Shazier will not be suiting up for the Pittsburgh Steelers during the 2018-19 NFL season as he continues to recover from a serious spinal cord injury, but that doesn’t mean he will be out of work or away from the team. We received some evidence of that this week during the Pitt Pro Day.
In a photo posted to social media, Shazier can be seen working as a scout and evaluating Panthers players who were going through workouts.
Shazier was joined by Steelers running back James Conner, who attended Pitt.
It was a pretty cool sight to see.

Shazier is currently recovering from a spinal contusion suffered in Week 13 against the Cincinnati Bengals last season. Since the injury, with left him without feeling in his legs, the linebacker has been making positive progress and has even begun walking with assistance.
Seeing that he his back around football will only help him remain in a good spirit as he continues his rehabilitation.
